Because airplanes are lifted by telekinesis, the airplanes are not scientifically possible to fly because the design is not capable, no airplane can fly they levitate by the telekinesis the pilot is using to lift the airplane, the operating system is too ignorant to understand that they are lying about airplanes flying, the turbines are too weak, all airplanes donot fly they are lifted by the telekinesis of the pilot, plain and simple.

*speed* - *Speed* - *SPEED* .... "speed" is not EVERYTHING bud' --- you're NOT thinkin' about the PHYSICS The PHYSICS of multi-mach (or even mach2) changes the ENGINEERING & Efficiency ENTIRELY And the "state of the art"? Psssst... here's a HINT, and it's in the word -"AIR_ BUSSSsssssssss" when was the last time ya saw a damn BUS- do 100 miles per-hour on a road... ? (it's just physics) (the narrator sounds like an 8-year old boy who's sad that horses & carriages can't do 80 Miles per hour) C'mon dude. this is a SILLY video to educated people. OF COURSE we can drive everywhere at 200Mph... We'd also all be DEAD from collisions, due to road rage and driver stupidity- AND SLOW HUMAN REFLEXES! something SIMILAR has happened within the air industry--- they've become as "EFFICIENT" as financially possible. EFFICIENT means.... you DO nnnnNNNNOT............ keep "pushing" the technological envelope. it means you SLOW IT DOWN / Make it SAFER / more redundant / EASIER to maintain, and then make $$$$$ WHEN was the last time ya saw a damn *BUS* ... do 100 miles per-hour on a road? (ans. ... NEVER!)

It all comes down to $$$. We cannot afford the continued use of faster flights such as the Concorde. Rich people don't fly Concorde, they buy their own private jets. Less affluent people can't afford to splurge that much, and therefore: 1. Economically makes more sense. 2. Flight is actually MORE efficient. 3. Both the consumer's wallets and the planes will survive a longer period. :)

Why we fly slower than the speed of sound ? Let's say maximum speeds of NORMAL aerodynamically working planes are 950 km/h..using a lot of fuel for going up to this, as well as the mechanical impact of transition of aerodynamics going over into static physical thread, putting the material under stress. Except for having a Concorde (which was not economical though). Yes and the Sonic booms produce noise. So sound speed and above it not environmentally friendly. This would only work in closed systems (hyperloop? tube-post system in a vacuum tube..)

Money, ie fuel efficiency. Flying faster ALWAYS, on the same wing/engine technology, uses more fuel. And on different wing/engine technologies there are only minor changes that may or may not exist, that are quickly are lost, the faster a plane goes. There may be minor blips on the fuel efficiency curve, but the major trend is always 'uses more fuel', therefore: 'costs more money'. I just saved you 18 minuets and 4 SECONDS, so there @Mark J! :P

I think it was boeing 747 (was 3 diffrent flights from north EU to Australia 24 hours flight time)

The reason we do not have any super sonic aircraft today is the same reason Boeing canceled their SST program in the early 1970's and that is because creating sonic booms from the shock waves was outlawed over the continental US. The UK and French went ahead with their Concord due to national pride not because it made any economic sense. The name of the game is cost per seat mile which is governed by how effecient the engines and air frames are. The best way to increase efficiently at least here in the US would be to get rid of the stupid ineffective and very intrusive security measures that were introduced right after 9/11 that we all should know by now were not caused by international terrorists but were caused by former president Bush and his administration probably with the assistance of the Saudi's as well as his father. 9/11 was covered up by many since it occurred including former president Obama. I hope that all responsible for this mass murder are held accountable for their treason. They were directly attacking our Constitutional protections and right after 9/11 they pushed through the Patriot Act and the establishment of the FISA courts that directly violate all of our 4th amendment protections. Every politician since this event that have renewed as well as expanded the damn Patriot Act should be put into prison regardless of political party. I bet that would be around 80% of everyone in Congress today.

I'm sorry, but there is only one type of Airliner/Transport that will break the speed of sound: an S.S.T. example; the Concorde. Modern Airliners may have the engine power to get to the barrier, but their electronics won't allow much above Mach .8. Why? Because the Fiberglass & Honeycomb parts of the leading & trailing edges of the wings will start shedding at am alarming rate. And then, whaddya think will happen! Hey, before you go off making these goofy claims in a video, KNOW what the heck you're talking about! "Skyships Eng," make a note to yourself, saying, "Not everyone is stupid & gullible."

Some of the video you found is absolutely fantastic. Those Comet shots were beautiful. Would love to see more on the wonderful Soviet aircraft. I used to regularly see them in London. All the Tupelovs and Ilushin il62s up till the mid to late 80s. Frank Whittle patented the turbofan and afterburner (re-heat) in his second patent in 1938(?). He was designing the engine for the Miles M52 which could have been the first supersonic aircraft if funding wasn't cut. It was to have been flown by Eric 'winkle' Brown - who has an absolutely fascinating life story. The Olympus engine was designed and built by Bristol. (Rolls bought out Bristol) The 747 was most likely the fastest subsonic aircraft, and would easily outperform the 990 as it was much more economical in cruise. The 747 also could easily get to mach 0.95 and there is talk of it too hitting mach 1. It is very difficult to get reliable speed information. The VC10 still holds the transatlantic record. The VC10 could be at 10,000 feet before a 707 had got to the end of the runway.

It's all about Fuel Economy. That is also the reason they're cramming more us into the planes regardless of our comfort. In summary, its the appearance of wide-body airliners compared to the earlier narrow-body ones, the appearance of high by-pass turbofan engines and other factors like economics and lower acoustics. High by-pass turbofan engines are good (have max thrust) at lower altitudes than turbojet engines and for high speed flight, you have to be at a higher altitude, something like 40-45000 feet. High by-pass ratio turbofans allow fuel efficiency and better take-off and landings but at the cost of lower maximum speed.
